Why I'm Running
El Paso County homeowners deserve an Assessor's Office that is transparent, accessible, and committed to serving the taxpayer.
Over the past several years, many residents have experienced dramatic increases in property valuations and property tax burdens. While the Assessor does not set tax rates, the office plays a critical role in ensuring that property values are accurate, fair, and understandable.
I am running for El Paso County Assessor because I believe homeowners deserve:
-Fair and Accurate Property Valuations
Every property owner should have confidence that their property is being assessed fairly and consistently according to Colorado law.
-Transparency and Accountability
The assessment process should not be confusing or difficult to navigate. I will work to make valuation methods, data, and appeal procedures easier for the public to understand.
-Taxpayer Education
Many property owners are unaware of their rights when it comes to reviewing and challenging property valuations. I will prioritize public education and outreach so residents understand the process and can make informed decisions.
-Responsive Customer Service
The Assessor's Office should be a resource for the people. My goal is to create a culture of professionalism, responsiveness, and respect for every citizen who interacts with the office.
-Modernization and Efficiency
Taxpayers deserve an office that operates efficiently, uses technology effectively, and provides timely access to information and services.

As your Assessor, I will be an independent voice for the citizens of El Paso County. I will focus on fairness, transparency, accountability, and public education while ensuring the office serves the people with integrity and professionalism.
