Raymond Garcia is a proud Colorado native whose family has called Colorado home for more than 150 years. Raised in the small northeastern Colorado town of Julesburg, Raymond learned the values of hard work, service, faith, and family from an early age.
Immediately after graduating from high school, Raymond enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he served honorably for eight years as a CH-53E helicopter Crew Chief. During his military service, he participated in Operations Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Desert Stay, and Eager Mace in Saudi Arabia, as well as Operation Restore Hope in Somalia. His time in the Marine Corps instilled in him a lifelong commitment to duty, leadership, and service to others.
Following his military service, Raymond returned home to care for his mother and moved to the Denver metro area. There, he helped establish and operate a tailoring business while also working for the United States Postal Service. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, he later founded a firearms retail business in Thornton and went on to build a successful construction company that employed his father for more than twenty years.
In 2017, Raymond relocated to El Paso County, where he continued operating his firearms magazine and accessories business. As a small business owner, employer, and lifelong Colorado resident, he understands firsthand the challenges facing working families, entrepreneurs, and taxpayers across the state.
Family remains the center of Raymond's life. He is the proud father of two children, Nizhoni and Lincoln Diné. Nizhoni means "beautiful" in the Navajo language, and Diné means "the people," reflecting the family's deep Native American heritage and values. Raymond is also a devoted stepfather to his wife's two daughters. Together with his wife Amy, they have built a strong and loving family that serves as the foundation for everything he does.
Raymond has been actively involved in the Colorado Republican Party for nearly three decades. Throughout those years, he has served in numerous leadership positions, including Precinct Committee Person (PCP), Division Leader, House District Chair, Congressional District Chair, Commissioner District Chair, County Delegate, Congressional District Delegate, State Delegate, and twice as a National Delegate in 2016 and 2024. He proudly represented Colorado at both Republican National Conventions, helping nominate President Donald Trump as the party's candidate.
In 2023, Raymond was elected Chairman of the Colorado Hispanic Republicans, where he continues working to expand opportunities, strengthen communities, and promote conservative values throughout Colorado.
When community leaders approached Raymond about seeking public office, he accepted the challenge because he believes Colorado can once again be a place where families thrive, businesses prosper, and communities are safe. Drawing on a lifetime of military service, business leadership, party activism, and community involvement, Raymond is committed to fighting for the hardworking people of El Paso County and preserving the values that make Colorado a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
